rapper, producer, dj, comedian

BIO (needs to be updated but this is the gist):

Donwill is a Brooklyn based Webby Award winning rapper who has parlayed his passion for music and writing into a wide array of opportunities. As a member of the rap group Tanya Morgan he has garnered critical acclaim with a string of impressive releases and music featured on Queen Sugar. As a solo act he has produced music for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, ZIWE, Slate’s Slow Burn Podcast and Buzzfeed’s “Another Round” podcast to name a few. Donwill served as the Music Supervisor for Wyatt Cenac’s Problem Areas on HBO and as a music composer for several other shows.

Donwill has DJ’ed for a host of clients including Brooklyn Bowl, Prospect Park Alliance, 74 Events, Discovery Channel, Etsy, Soul Cycle, HBO, Flocabulary and Google. You can check out a few of his favorite mixes on his Mixcloud Page.

Comedy is something he is passionate about as well, and alongside Wyatt Cenac he plays host to Shouting at the Screen, an interactive event based around Blaxploitation cinema where the duo provides colorful commentary and encourages the crowd to chime in and play drinking games.  He is also the DJ for Butterboy with Jo Firestone, Aparna Nancherla and Maeve Higgins. Adulting with Michelle Buteau and Jordan Carlos, Night Train with Wyatt Cenac and Sasheer Zamata Party Time. At these particular shows I do more than simply DJ, I riff alongside the comedians and bring as much personality to the show as the host does. I become a hybrid of what Ed McMahon was to Johnny Carson and what the Roots are to Jimmy Fallon.
